DANIELA
Daniela grew up playing football and volleyball. It took a few months of persuasion from a friend before Daniela attended her first yoga class in 2007. She was so impressed by the positive effect that those first 90 minutes of yoga had on her that it has been an integral part of her life ever since. Having spent years doing competitive sports, yoga helped her access more gentle, soft and feminine movements.
After exploring different styles of yoga for many years, she wanted to delve deeper into the practice. From 2020 to 2021, she completed 250 hours of teacher training with Stephen Thomas, Claire Dollaz, Christina Eggenschweiler, Manuela Peverelli and Doug Keller at AIRYOGA in Zurich.
She is fascinated about the fact that yoga is open to everyone, that it can be so simple yet so challenging, and that it can be practised in many different ways – far beyond physical asanas.
Inspired by her teachers, Daniela promotes mindful alignment and sequencing in her teaching. In her classes she aims to create a space where one can turn inwards and reconnect with the own rhythm of breath, energy and movement.
Beyond the yoga mat, Daniela is passionate about hiking, travelling, writing and reading, and she works in sustainability. She teaches her classes in Swiss German, German or English.
Yoga styles: Hatha Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Pranayama.
