Stephen is an experienced yoga teacher and practitioner, leading classes, workshops, teacher trainings, and immersions. Rooted in traditional yoga, his teaching is influenced by studies in yoga philosophy and Buddhism. A longtime student of O.P. Tiwari from Kaivalyadham, India, he integrates pranayama, Ayurveda, and over 20 years of alignment-based asana practice, drawing from Ashtanga Vinyasa, Anusara, and Iyengar traditions.
Stephen teaches with a focus on transformation through effort and dedication, without imposing dogma. He leads his own studio, SVARUPA in Bern, and teaches as Senior Teacher at AIRYOGA in Zurich. He also mentors teachers, works with private students, and dedicates time to family, writing, and research. Classes are taught in English.
