THE COMPLETE PATH OF HATHA YOGA
Immerse yourself in the practical power and breath of Hatha Yoga.
This retreat/training with Rod Stryker (April 16 – 20, 2026) is designed for practitioners as well as teachers—anyone wanting to get the most out of their practice and teaching.
Throughout our time together, we explore the keys to understanding how yoga actually works—why specific practices change your body, mind, and inner life, and how to apply the teachings so they meaningfully support your life on and off the mat.
Important note: Room and stay are not included in this immersion registration and fee. Accommodation must be booked separately through Landguet Ried.
We will move through a deliberate progression — via practice, theory, and Q&A — to ensure you leave with a clear framework and deepened experience. You will gain a new level of understanding of how asana becomes a gateway into the fuller scope of yoga, and how “ancient wisdom” can be rendered accessible, relevant, and profoundly useful.
At the heart of the training are three core themes — essential pillars of Hatha, Yoga, and Tantra — presented in a way that is grounded, experiential, and practical.
STAGE 1
ASANA, BANDHA, MUDRA
Bandha and mudra mark the point where physical practice begins to educate the nervous system, refine attention, and awaken a deeper current of steadiness and creative power. These are the yogic gateways to greater balance, healing, and a more unified mind. Mudra—traditionally regarded as the culmination of physical yoga—is where asana, breath, and bandha integrate, bridging the physical and meditative dimensions of practice. Sessions include vinyasa, asana, pranayama, and meditation.
STAGE 2
VINYASA KRAMA + AYURVEDA
When asana is approached systematically, it becomes the foundation that supports every other aspect of practice. Rod shares the energetic principles of sequencing (vinyasa krama), the intelligence of Ayurveda, and key tantric insights that explain why certain practices yield specific outcomes—stability, clarity, vitality, and inner ease. Through both practice and applied philosophy, you will learn how to heighten the effects of what you do, tailor practice to individual needs, and understand the principles that shift yoga into a path of transformation.
STAGE 3
SECRETS OF THE YOGA SUTRA
Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras remain the defining text of the yoga tradition — timeless, precise, and deeply practical when properly illuminated. We highlight essential teachings that are often overlooked, focusing on principles that elevate practice and reshape one’s relationship to thought, emotion, and perception. Rather than focus on the eight limbs, we will explore the teachings that serve as guidance for how we meet modern stress and reactivity with clarity and real solutions.
Sessions include asana, pranayama, meditation, and guided yoga nidra practices.
Join Yogarupa Rod Stryker for this illuminating and important event, a time to experience and embody the great wisdom of the ages and to grow your light as practitioner and teacher.
This four-day immersion is designed for all dedicated seekers (some yoga experience is recommended), seasoned yoga practitioners as well as aspiring or experienced yoga teachers. Each day will weave lecture and practice(s), asana, pranayama, and meditation practices.
As a participant, you will leave with treasured experiences and invaluable insights, along with sacred and practical tools that will forever change how you see yourself and your life.
